Scotland

These photographs represent an attempt to record some of what I found inspirational while visiting the Scottish Highlands, Orkney mainland, and western isles of the Inner and Outer Hebrides.

The topography is unfamiliar and exotic- a mesmerizing landscape simultaneously bleak and sympathetic, peaceful and wild. These remote and sparsely populated regions offer an inviting landscape for contemplation and imagination; and create a kind of melancholy that suits my personality.
